We are girls from the villages of Khok Dong and Chikraing near Siem Reap in Cambodia. Please read our stories and see our thumb prints and our names so that you know we tell the truth. We were kidnapped and had virginity tests forced upon our bodies, and we were blackmailed, threatened, and forced to lie. We are ashamed that we lied, but we were all afraid as the NGO said that our parents and families would be hurt. As a result of all this three innocent men went to prison. But the money promised to us and our families never came after the men were convicted. We were just cast away.

This made us to be in a very bad position. We had been forced to tell lies, made to suffer the shame of our virginity being examined. The worst part for us however is that we are now seen as victims of rape, and no one wants to marry a raped girl, even though we were never raped, but our village thinks that the CWCC raped us with their hands and raped our honour. They did this in the name of protecting us.

They hurt our parents. One of our fathers committed suicide and the mother soon joined him.

We were not let speak in court, so since the men were imprisoned we have spoken the truth to an overseas journalist and a writer. We have written to the Prime Minister and the King, and printed the letter to the Prime Minister in the papers. We made a banner and posed in a photograph. We tried to hold a press conference, but we could not afford the trip and overnight stay in Phnom Pen. We managed to get our story told on the web site of Inquisition 21st century, where the people of the world began to see it.

The CWCC sent people to our village. (what happened?) (In the case of one of the three convicted men (Cleghorn) they took ? of the witnesses back into their protection, but in the case of the ?girls involved in the conviction of two of the other men they failed to get them to move from their position of wanting to tell the truth.)
